The primary requirement of this process is a donor who donates eggs. The donor generally is a volunteer agreeing to donate her matured ovum. The ovum is then fixed in the placenta of the woman who is infertile. The external ovum is then fertilized through the intercourse. The surgery to place the egg in the womb is not that complicated these days and falls in the category of minor surgery.


Egg donation is regarded as a safer option than using the ovulation inducing drugs because of the side effects they bear. It is not tough to find an egg bank helping people to get the egg placed. But one should get a deeper insight into the process. The first thing to be checked out is the compatibility of the foreign egg. This can be done through the blood sample test of the donor as well as the recipient. The blood group and the test of some other diseases should be the benchmark to decide upon the placement of an egg in a womb.
